A collaboration between St Leo’s College and St Mary’s Academy CBS
St. Francis Academy, San Francisco is a hopeless high school doomed for closure. Mother Superior is desperate, so calls in a favour from an old friend - Las Vegas Headliner Deloris Van Cartier. Reunited with her ‘Sisters’, Deloris once again dons the holy habit to become Sr. Mary Clarence, Music teacher.
Hoping her infectious personality and unconventional methods can save the school she does what she does best and turns her demoralised delinquent students into a choir. Taking them all the way to the Choral State Championship, they learn to believe in themselves and their school for the first time. Will it be enough to save St Francis from closing?
A culmination of hard work from over one hundred and fifty Transition Year students from both St. Leo’s College and St. Mary’s Academy CBS, this show, staged at Visual, promises to be an energetic, colourful and talent fuelled production with stunning vocals, slick choreography and boundless talent. The performance is produced under the expert guidance of Ms. Janice De Bhroite and co-ordinated by Ms. Áine Shiels.
