County Carlow Environmental Network (CCEN) are delighted to announce their first Environmental Film Festival at VISUAL. CCEN is a new organisation that aims to empower citizens of Carlow to take action in tackling Climate Change through various positive actions. These films have been selected for their uplifting, solution-focused themes, dealing with various aspects of our current Climate Emergency and are suitable for all ages. Screenings will be free of charge.

The “fast fashion industry” is something most of us participate in and it can be difficult and prohibitively expensive to change our habits.

Following international river conservationist, Mark Angelo, River Blue spans the globe to infiltrate one of the world’s most pollutive industries, fashion. This ground-breaking documentary examines the destruction of our rivers, its effect on humanity, and the solutions that inspire hope for a sustainable future.

Following this screening, the CCEN will lead a conversation proposing practical alternative choices we can make in our daily lives to tackle the devastating impact of the fast fashion industry on our environment.
