About the Artist
Bridget Flannery can be described as painter of nature. Her paintings have an organic relation with certain specific areas and places – bogs, strands, cliff faces, and rock formations. Her forms are closely akin to natural forms and shapes, but while their genesis may be in the natural worlds, they are largely autonomous and follow an internal logic of form and colour brought about by detailed looking, drawing and photography.
